A little more about Dance for Dementia.
This special event unites a cast of over one hundred Bristol-based dancers in an outstanding stage performance. The event began in 2012, and since then has raised over £13,000, growing in success each year. Featuring performances in over fifteen dance styles from around the world and presented by wonderful dance groups from across Bristol and Bath; Dance for Dementia is a sensational production that is guaranteed to be enjoyed by all!
Alzheimer’s Society research shows that 800,000 people in the UK have a form of dementia, more than half have Alzheimer’s disease. In less than ten years a million people will be living with dementia. This will soar to 1.7 million people by 2051. Alzheimer’s Society provides research investment, training and development, local support and services, and also raises the awareness of dementia to create a better future for people who are living with the condition.
